this series of images, entitled Women at Work, my aim has been to draw attention to the presence of women in the workplace with an emphasis on the diverse roles they perform in contemporary Britain. Rather than shooting in the studio, I have chosen to create portraits of my subjects in their working environment. What I hope to show is that across society, women occupy positions of authority and responsibility, but combine their professional skills with other qualities such as empathy and trust
